If you're a survivor, pleas know that you can sit this one out. You can take breaks if you need to. Take care of yourself. There are many of us who can step up. We need all of us to survive this.

I would love to have a spider plant for more than a month before it dies. I don't know what I'm doing wrong!

When they were saying building social housing was too costly or renewable energy was too risky a bet, they were sitting on HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of dollars they could just shovel at AI bullshit. Tax them into poverty, the lying shitheel motherfuckers.

Look, I can be horrified by how warm out it is at end the of October, while also enjoying being outside all afternoon without a jacket on. I contain multitudes

Fun sized Hallowe'en candy is offensively small in general, but the Snickers' size is especially egregious.

This whole thread is gold. Read all of it.
You know what, let's do the Annual Mister Global National Costume thread tonight after all. Usual rules apply - this is all in fun, this isn't about the contestants looks or making fun of them, it's about the costumes and appreciating them (or, you know, making fun of them...)

One of these days I'll make a pumpkin pie that doesn't crack in the centre. Today is not that day.

If you know basic kabbalah it's actually not too hard to make a golem out of a labubu. Don't recommend it though. They have a pre-existing body-dharma. As soon as they wake they run straight for the sea. V hard to counter. Lost the first one. No idea what it's doing out there. Moved like lightning.

Woke up this morning a little nervous about my impending root canal. Dentist looked at it again today and decided that a root canal might be too aggressive and decided to do a filling today and a crown later.

Do any other cat parents have days where they love their babies so much but they are one knocked over cup away from yeeting them into the street? Like, I love them but they have not stopped being little shits for 14 straight hours.

Remember the world has always been unstable. These days we monitor things that previously would have gone unnoticed. We hear news from around the world as soon as it’s happened. Global platforms distribute and amplify things that previously would have stayed in a village.

Any reviews of iDrive? I need cloud storage that is 1. Canadian-based, 2. affordable, 3. gives me lots of storage, 4. easy to use. Ultimately, it would be nice if I could do some kind of automatic transfer from Google photos. And if I can preview files without downloading, like Google Photos.
