My obsession with Converse is no secret, but one thing most Converse are terrible for is walking on ice or snow, so I do actually own a couple of pairs of other boots (which have been resoled several times at this point. I cannot recommend Timpsons in the UK enough for repairing and resoling shoes)

We haven't got vast amounts of snow (and given that the last actual snow shower was late in the evening I suspect this is just ice) but it's still quite pretty along with the huge moon low in the sky

The youngest got a new dressing gown for Christmas that's covered in a large print of tigers in various positions and it turns out that Gus, who is not a small or skinny cat and looks like he could beat up anything he meets, is fucking *terrified* of it. Like cowering behind the couch terrified.

My main takeaway from the #Taskmaster New Year episodes is that Rose Ayling-Ellis is a fucking delight and it's a shame they didn't have her on a full series

Think I know what the DnD beefcake rogue is going to look like. I think he needs to be an elf as well, which means I need to actively not make him Astarion. I'd make him a tiefling but I already have two tieflings and three would be silly.

We've just had a snow flurry that was as much hail as it was snow, which has resulted in the slightly surreal sight of a spiderweb covered in hail.

The Performance is not only the best Shirley Bassey album, it's one of the best albums of the last 50 years. And then her Electric Proms concert (which was mostly The Performance songs) is one of the best live performances ever as well (also my gods the strings in particular are glorious here)

I love it when you have a song with a very famous, very distinct singer doing backing vocals (not duets or "guest" vocals, literally just harmony or a couple of background lines). Dolly Parton does it occasionally but Darlene Love and Bonnie Tyler *constantly* turn up unexpectedly in songs.

As for who the Secret Traitor is... I don't know. They're set up Ellie, Amanda, Fiona, Roxy and Ross just by pointed talking heads comments so knowing the way this programme works it's none of them, but I'm *hoping* it's Fiona because she'd work brilliantly with Rachel and Stephen #TheTraitors
