According to Mohammad-Ali Moallem, the manager of the Karaj Dam, rainfall has plummeted dramatically.
"We had a 92% decrease in rain compared to last year," he said. "We have only eight per cent water in our reservoir — and most of it is unusable and considered 'dead water.'"

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP
It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history
I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧵

A lot of "centrist" views about Canada's role in selling fossil fuels are that they are only supplying a product that someone else would if we didn't & that there is a "need". Of course this all ignores the reality that fossil fuel companies systematically

I went back and reviewed Carney's statements about climate change & Canadian fossil fuels during & before his election & it's pretty clear that he was a climate hypocrite & pretty much ran on that platform. I think most of the sentiment to the contrary was by people reading

Our children don't have a "war room". They don't have industries & governments with massive budgets to pump out lies about climate change, green initiatives & fossil fuel emissions. They have tiny underfunded groups that don't have the ear of billionaire controlled media.

So which will happen first, serious movement on climate change in Canada or Musk's self driving taxis? It's a trick question, neither are going to happen, but they both have lots of propaganda for you to buy.

Budget 2025 tells me that we have a federal government that is not serious about addressing climate change or climate commitments. This budget is presented with a backdrop of multiple scientific papers saying that we could be passing critical climate tipping points. Doesn't give me the warm fuzzies.

Congrats to the #ElbowsUp crowd! You elected Stephen Harper 2.0. We now have a Prime Minister who is anti-environment, anti-immigrant, and anti-worker who will put corporations & the military before the needs of Canadians. Can't wait to lose more public services thanks to y'all! #CDNPoli
In many respects, this is the most harmful budget from a climate perspective since the Harper era, writes Hadrian Mertins-Kirkwood
Oil and gas trumps climate action in brutal federal budget
The budget makes clear that fossil fuel production for export is a central pillar of this government’s economic strategy — and that it won’t let climate measures get in the way.

I love all the people that reply to climate change posts from scientists with "solutions" they have read in fiction books. 🤣 The only "solution" is to stop burning fossil fuels, move our society past 1800's technology. Start there. Do it as fast as you can.
