Last meeting of a long day of a longer week in the longest month ever. I look like I’ve been held underwater for all of it, but also: I think this is the first time I have an actual beard-like thing on my face? Lots of stubble and scruff times in the past. This is at least close to a beard.

An odd last couple of years but they can’t block the shine of an almost singular career. She was brilliant and I’ll always remember her as at Thorn.

"In theater" is a nice touch for describing Minneapolis. Worth noting the people involved, from Trump to Miller to Noem to Homan to Bovino to the majority of ICE and CBP goons, have never served in the military. They're playing out a war fantasy, dressing up in army costumes, like incredible losers.
Q: Can you be specific about how many ICE and CBP agents are currently operating in the state?

HOMAN: 3,000. There's been some rotations. They've been in theater a long time. Day after day, can't eat in restaurants, people spin on you, blowing whistles at you. But my main focus now is draw down

I’m working with the sister of Cristian Paredes Padilla to bring him back home. He was kidnapped by ICE while he was at work. Her other two brothers were deported back to Ecuador last year. This will help us with lawyers fees, bond requests, and livability for the family.

Freaky Freddie’s on W Burnside dragged into national politics. I’m sort of proud.
Bro this video looks like you're trying to talk your way out of getting arrested for shoplifting at the Burnside Freddie's, what is with the finger biting and bleeding face scratch. What is this.
Things are terrible, but we need to be strategic right now.

Very little if anything seems to have changed on the ground. ICE is still out there terrorizing neighborhoods and trying to disappear neighbors. None of us on the ground are buying this bullshit. We will keep organizing and fighting.
The intense fallout from the killing of Alex Pretti has forced President Trump to publicly change course in Minneapolis.

Listen to our White House reporters discuss the changes on today's episode of "The Daily."
Trump Changes Course in Minneapolis
The White House has been met with broad outcry over the killing of Alex Pretti, as well as pushback from Congress.

I swear to God I will join whatever efforts there are to ensure that Noem, Bovino and the rest of the tossed-aside fascists don't get to just sashay over to a cable news hosting gig or Dancing with the Stars, or whatever. They need to face a full menu of criminal charges.

The use of the word “divided” is interesting to me because it connotes the idea that there are two different positions across from each other, even when the reality is that one side is terrorizing the other out of desire to assert violent domination and unjust supremacy

Next: Noem and Miller and then start dismantling the entire operation. No ICE ever again.

BREAKING Greg Bovino has been removed as Border Patrol "commander at large" and will return to El Centro Calif, where he is expected to retire soon. A stunning turnaround after Pretti killing. Bovino's traveling blue city crackdown is over www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

If you have the choice about whether to eat at a local or chain place where you live, please consider that 100s of Twin Cities local restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, etc. have laid it on the line for weeks to support, protect & nourish neighbors, while national brands did absolutely nothing.

I just did this. The last thing I need is another soccer scarf but they have two great options and I highly recommend pitching in this way!
South was there when we needed them (as our first home field for our first season).

Now it's our turn.

Help us raise money for South High families in need of ongoing food and resources.

*Buy a City scarf this week and ALL proceeds will be donated to South families!*

this is a fake problem. no one is saying this to regular, offline people who are coming around. they’re saying it to people who are engaged in professional political analysis who committed professional malpractice by scolding people who saw what was coming.

no, those people shouldn’t get a break.
Bluesky idea: if people who didn't agree with you change their opinions so that they do agree with you, why not be happy that you are making progress - rather than complaining that they are "only just catching up"?
