There might be a few *worse* people (perhaps one or more in his own administration), but no one on earth has less empathy. No one. He proved it today and has for decades prior. Just a monstrous creature.

Schumer had a chance to repudiate the gutter racism and Islamophobia of Cuomo's campaign and he just fucking didn't. And that is disqualifying. He should be ashamed and we the voters should make sure he feels that shame.

Can't overstate how fucked up it is that unraveling what is arguably the greatest achievement in the history of humanity is now a motivating issue of one of the two dominant parties in the U.S.
FL is moving forward w/ plan to end all childhood vaccine mandates. Starting with hepatitis B, chickenpox, and the bacteria causing meningitis and pneumonia. Then next year GOP FL legislature is expected to revisit 1977 law re: whooping cough, measles, polio, rubella, mumps, diphtheria, and tetanus.

Nothing wrong with being happy when Newsom does something that might help the cause while also understanding that he is a terrible dickhead who is not the answer for the party or the country. He’s just awful.

One thing I'll say about Platner: If his concern really is about serving the ppl of Maine & making this country better, safer, etc then he would be apologizing for the awful tattoos, leveraging his name recognition to mobilize support for worthy causes/actions, & biding his time until the next cycle

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

I get why there is a lot of context-stetting about SNAP rn (most recipients work full-time, etc) but let’s not lose sight of the fact that no one should be without food—no one. I DGAF why someone needs food. If they need it, we should provide it as a society. Same with housing and schooling.
