A woman whose remains were found in a trash compactor in the basement of a public housing building in Brooklyn this month most likely died after slipping down a garbage chute and into the compactor, police officials said on Friday.

The President, two of his current Cabinet secretaries, his former strategist, his biggest donor, and his pending Fed Chair nominee are all in the files of a pedophile who ran a sex trafficking ring, while the attorney general and a former Cabinet secretary let him get away with it.

Seems kinda bad?
At least half a dozen top Trump administration officials appear in the Jeffrey Epstein files
The degree to which each individual was connected to Epstein varies significantly, from a single email to years of communications.

Utterly unacceptable in a democracy. In a sane world, House Republicans would be drafting impeachment articles today and Senate Republicans would be preparing for a trial to convict and remove him from office

This should be every politicians viewpoint, and anyone who doesnt think this is the case needs to step aside so leaders can actually lead.

The list of things council is considering cutting in order to keep taxes “flat” is insane. (From Sam Austin’s website). Call your councillor and tell them you won’t support them if they support these cuts.

Decades ago I used to collect glasses at the Black Cap, Camden!

11 years ago after it closed down, we set up a campaign to reopen it!

I long ago got distracted but these legends (with others!) stuck it out for years. Delighted to say from next month our LGBT+ pub is back! 🎉

Completely fair. During the Corbyn years we had to ban someone from our 40,000 strong Labour forum on FB, who was subsequently parachuted into a Labour safeseat, for continuous, nasty, aggressive trolling of the entire left, from moderate to hard.
This is the near-universal experience of being vaguely familiar to people on social media, I’m afraid. I am absolutely nobody - a dull office worker - and yet I repeatedly had e.g. an MP’s husband RTing me to his rabid supporters who would roar dog’s abuse at me for days. Not fun! But I got over it.

Calling the requirement for a judicial warrant before entering a person’s home one of the Democrats’ “new restrictions on federal immigration agents” crosses the line into outright falsehood. It’s in the Bill of Rights! A rule as old as the republic.

I understand a lot of the anger/frustration from Corbynites towards much of the press because of these years. But Marie is actually awesome, and maybe the naturally and honestly funniest accounts on here. Plus, a damn good writer.
vividly remember, in the Corbyn Hell Years, seeing people on Twitter quite actively bonding over their joint hatred of me - trying to outdo each other in their meanness - and I just don't think it's possible to explain how weird and unpleasant it is, especially as someone who's....no-one
People don’t really understand the nature of the problem. It’s not lots of little random ankle-biter tweets. That’s annoying but whatever. It’s when hating you becomes this communal pursuit that exists separately from yourself. Like there’s an entire group of people working together to target you.
