Obviously more to the movie, but One Battle After Another really appeals to the "useless middle-aged white guy living in troubling times" demo. But the fact you give a shit matters! It won't by itself change much, but it counts for something! For SOME reason I loved it.

If you happen to know any members of the Armed Services (including National Guard), I hope you're talking to them about what decisions they might make if certain orders come down.

A fun illustrative example of why Deadwood was such a remarkable show: the reason it was so effective when Dan Dority ripped out Captain Turner's eye is there just happen to have been multiple people involved with the show who had actually seen someone get an eye ripped out.

Don't mean to overreact, but is it possible we got ourselves a real baseball team here?
Everyone in the Nats lineup scored in the first inning before anyone made an out. Ahhhhhhhhh.

Back from vacation, caught up on Andor, and very glad I was totally wrong in the first section of this post. Would have been so easy for the writers to take the plausible but lazy path here; credit to them for understanding a story can be kinda dark without just being misery porn.

What’s this stock character called? Crabby but kindly old lady (always a lady). Blunt, no filter, but she’s rude to other characters because she wants them to be their best selves. Gets away with it simply because she’s an old lady. Will call you on your BS when you need it.

On vacation and can't decide whether I want to know what this is about. Defaulting to "no" for now. It will be here when I get back.

For unknown reasons Medium doesn't allow italics in post titles. Not ideal for writing about TV shows and movies. Don't want to use quote marks for show names because those are used for episode titles. The ALL CAPS TITLE thing just seems obnoxious. Not sure what to do about it.
