Another note to Vincentians from our National President in which he doubles on down on his assessment that the current crisis is a bipartisan moral failure. I have attached my reply.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

As a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul I objected to National President John Berry's statement on the government shutdown and withholding SNAP as "bipartisan moral failure". I replied, but 6 days later my comment is awaiting moderation. Why? ssvpusa.org/uncategorize...

1 in 8 people or 42 million people in the U.S. will go to bed hungry again tonight because they rely on SNAP. We are living through an affordability crisis. There is no reason so many of our children will go to school hungry. Tell Congress to restore SNAP now.

From this morning's psalm: The Lord hears the cry of the Poor. The Lord confronts the evil doers to destroy remembrance of them from the earth. Let us pray for our nation and our sins of violence against migrants, and for killing people without legal justification or due process on the high seas.

Trump: "I don't think we're necessarily going to ask for a declaration of war, I think we're just gonna kill people that are bringing drugs into our country. We're going to kill them. They're going to be, like dead."

This Sunday we wake to see POTUS responding to those resisting racism, hate and cruelty with a literal shit posting. Meanwhile Bishop "Liturgy of Democracy" Barron and Cardinal "Kirk is St. Paul" Dolan remain on DJT's Presidential Commission. Time to resign.

Dolan is a scandal. We condemn murder, including the murder of Kirk. Would St. Paul have been like Kirk against Civil Rights or a supporter of Paul Pelosi's attacker, or call for the death penalty for Joe Biden or call Pope Francis a heretic?

Cardinal Dolan calls the late Charlie Kirk 'a modern-day St. Paul.' I'm not making this up.
Cardinal Dolan joins the Catholic right's ever growing quest to lionize the late Charlie Kirk as a Christian martyr.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

We elected an insane, racist, idiot over a competent, Black female. We paid the ticket, and now we are taking the ride. Of course the poor and vulnerable will suffer more, and we now going to have more poor and vulnerable.
The job market is drying up. Prices continue to rise. Millions are living paycheck to paycheck. 70% of U.S. adults say the American Dream is dead.

What has Trump been up to lately?

Hobnobbing with billionaire Big Tech CEOs and profiting off the presidency with crypto schemes.
