Brisbane is a river with a city problem. More development on the floodplain & more people taking the risk. Qld LNP at council & state level is unconcerned by the danger or the escalating housing situation; cash for highest first homebuyer bidders. #qldpol www.abc.net.au/news/2026-02...
Flood zone the 'elephant in the room' in Brisbane's house price boom
The river city is now the second-most expensive capital in Australia to buy a house in, but many properties also face flood risks.

Angus Taylor on ABC 730 claims that if Labor winds back Howard's capital gains tax discount is actually a tax on housing.
Angus says it will mean fewer houses.
I don't remember a flood of new houses when CGT was halved. I do remember house prices immediately increasing by double digit %. #idiot

This study is over 6 months old but it still resonates. AI tools can feel more productive but devs tend to ignore the time spent prompting, waiting for results and refining.

Claude Code took 10 minutes to summarize my unread chats and email today. It would have been faster by hand.
Using AI might actually slow down experienced devs

Mexico has one of the greatest climate diversities in the world. It is divided in half by the Tropic of Cancer; has the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean and has the Gulf of Mexico and of California. It has lowlands and mountainous regions, which makes it one of the most climatically diverse countries.

Poll taxes are unconstitutional. Any i.d. that is required to vote has to be provided by the government.

This is a way to disenfranchise the poor.
