The nice folks at @thepitch.bsky.social in Kansas City let me talk with author Scott Eyman about his new book on Joan Crawford.

It’s so gratifying to know the Kansas City-raised Oscar-winner has more to say for her self than her alleged hatred for wire hangers.

I hired and worked with Jamal for a year.

One of my favorite interviews was with the late composer Lalo Schifrin. I was so sad when we lost him last June, but he has left behind so much wonderful music. I’m also grateful to Substack for having the chance to share the conversation again.

Two things. One, to pretend that people don’t care whether or not the president allegedly used to rape children is ridiculous and every Republican knows it. Two, Republicans are the ones who are making everything more expensive so what is this guy even trying to sell here.

Talk about a lack of self-awareness.
I’m still struggling with the fact that ICE “brown shirts” went to a taco shop and thought they would get served.

Went into this completely blind, while working through Sydney Pollack's filmography. Bloody Hell. What a brutal, bleak, incredible film. That ending! That's the best film of his I've seen.

Jane Fonda, Michael Sarrazin, Susannah York & Gig Young were all amazing.

One of the reasons these people are trying to womanize 15-year-olds is so they can marry them and train them (raise them) to be the submissive wives they want. Some of these folk voted against ending child marriage for that very reason.
