Loved this part...
Mamdani: Whether you are an immigrant, a member of the trans community, one of the many black women that Donald Trump has fired from a federal job, a single mom still waiting for the cost of groceries to go down, or anyone else with their back against the wall—your struggle is ours too

Important. Stay organzied!
"After we win in November, we do not demobilize. The rich and corporate interests who tried to buy this election with the millions they stole from our pockets will want to see us fail.

We won’t let them." - Chi Ossé

My fav thing about this is the $8million Michael Bloomberg spent to try to defeat Zohran Mamdani who got >250k more votes than the 745k votes Bloomberg bought for $73million in his first mayoral campaign -- about $100/vote.

Billionaires, spend as much money as you want, you still only get 1 vote.
Mamdani cracks 1M votes, the first NYC mayor to do so since John Lindsay in 1969

👀 on this
This is correct, and what we saw tonight is that the people aren't gonna put up with this shit. The No Kings Era is here to stay.
not to bring the vibe down, but my guess is that after tonight Trump will probably double down on gerrymandering, voter suppression, and intimidation as tactics to disincentivize Dem turnout ahead of next year‘s midterms. (with margins like these, it won’t matter, but it’s a time to be vigilant)

Let's make hope & change cool again!
Trump tries to build a fake wall of inevitability around everything he does.

Today, voters - literally from sea to shining sea - broke through all that, and this is just the beginning.

This is such good news -- Mainers are no liberals but they're practical and responded to a tragedy with the seriousness it demanded. #EndGunViolence
And by adopting a new red flag law, Mainers took a meaningful step to prevent gun violence. This measure will give families, courts, and law enforcement the tools they need to intervene when someone poses a serious risk to themselves or others—while preserving the rights of responsible gun owners.

This right here 👇
Something to take into account. Abigail Spanberger got her start in politics via Moms Demand. We talk a lot about the Trump effect and Dobbs radicalizing suburban women with degrees. But I think we miss just how school shootings served as a sparkplug for the suburban shift for educated women.

I’m sorry… what now?
Q: What does it say that president released a video of him pooping on the American people?

MIKE JOHNSON: You can argue he's probably the most effective person who has ever used social media. He's using satire to make a point. He's not calling for the murder of his political opponents.

Trump campaigning for the Nobel Peace Prize is the most cringe thing he’s done in his quest to be as cool as Barack Obama.
Imagine being mad you didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize while you’re busy stirring up Civil War in your own country.

Nonviolent resistance is the only way out of this. ❤️

⚖️ Moral clarity in the face of inhumane repression.

💪 Solidarity in the face of fear mongering & violent intimidation.

☮️ Hope & action in response to those who want us anxious, exhausted, disconnected & resigned.

Nonviolent resistance works 🕊️
We’re in a moment now where it would be worth people taking three hours to watch Gandhi, particularly the scene of the salt march. There is value to making the brutality of your opponent so plain as day that no one can argue with it. The clarity of that brought down an empire

There’s just not enough attention being paid to how unqualified, psychologically unfit, and dangerous so many of these new ICE hires potentially are.

If we had a Congress, there’d be investigations & oversight into this.

This is my biggest concern right now—that politically active people who know better are scared silent. What do you think is going to happen to you if you speak up and show your cards? I promise what will happen if you don’t is way worse. #resist
This is exactly what the right wants— our silence.

They want us afraid and to stop speaking up, to check out, to shut up about politics. We can’t give them that. Not now. Not ever.
