Enjoyed WAKE UP, DEAD MAN a lot. Perhaps my favourite of the Blanc whodunits so far thanks to Josh O'Connor's terrific performance, and a nicely twisty mystery that has a pretty satisfying conclusion. One of these films every two years is a genuinely great thing. Here's to many more.

Del Toro's FRANKENSTEIN is very patchy. Incredible performances, particularly Elordi who nails the Creature in a way I haven't really seen since Johnny Lee Miller. But some dodgy CGI animals, and an overly sentimental final third really really do test your patience.
