Clearly being a good judge of what is politically lethal is why democrats keep winning.
ICE may be shooting people in the face, sending people to concentration camps, and illegally occupying our cities but, apparently, the Democrats think saying, "abolish ICE" is "emotional" and politically "lethal."

Preparing my script where John Harbaugh and Mike Tomlin take a misfit band of NFL outcasts and co-coach them to win in the Super Bowl.

Drunk News sounds like a 3AM Comedy Central show.
New: CBS News seems to be preparing a new segment called "Whiskey Fridays with Tony Dokoupil," per sources.

Some staff were only first made aware of it as they encountered CBS testing out set designs of a faux-stocked bar in the newsroom, featuring a large sponsor banner for Jack Daniels.

Democrats forget that Republicans have always pretended to have power, even when they haven’t. Instead of cowering to the worst, Dems should go for broke and seize the moment.
“But what do you expect Democrats to doo-hooo?”

1) Refuse to fund this criminal government anymore.

2) EVERY one of them call to abolish ICE (and bonus, DHS). No more “they need training” shit. Promise prosecutions.

3) EVERY one of them call for Trump’s impeachment, relentlessly, EVERY day.

I feel good knowing that people who barely have a pulse or brain cell are making more money than I am to put everyone else at risk.
Reporter Louis Krauss saw this. An agent apparently dropped a flash grenade that was left with the pin still in it on Park Avenue after driving away in a squad car.

How silly. It’s not like they gave a bad grade to an evangelical Christian.

But if we put everyone in prison, how are we going to have enough tax money to pay for the prison?

Steven Miller: Volume.
And the private prison profiteers can barely contain their glee. “This is truly one of the most exciting periods in my career,” one executive said last year: americasvoicecnn.substack.com/p/private-pr...

ICE officer in the streets.

Impotent in the sheets.

Wouldn't it be nice if the alternative to the "we're going to steamroll over everything" party was something other than the "please reconsider that or we'll be mad" party?
Rep. Lieu: “Greg Bovino last night made a post that essentially called protesters, ‘cannon fodder.’ He needs to delete that post, or he needs to resign…If Greg Bovino and the administration doesn't turn down the rhetoric, it's going to cause more people to get killed.”

How did this guy run so many businesses into the ground? He's such a genius.
Trump: "When the market goes up, they should lower rates. You want to see 20 percent and 25 percent, you want to see what we can do? We've gotta go back to an old standard. When there's good news, the market should go up, not go down."

Project 2025's goal was to make sure that the United States didn't last until 2026.

Gen X too. Because we had so little new input to stimulate our brains on a daily basis.

It was nice.
why did so many millennials read so many newspaper comics? easily 60 percent of my reading diet in elementary/middle school was collected editions of calvin and hobbes, farside, dilbert, peanuts, doonesbury (!), foxtrot (?!?) and i know im not alone. historically unique phenomenon
rather than talk about Scott Adams I want to talk about something weirder (me). Who else was really into Dilbert when you were 12. Who else was like, boy, I can't wait to work a cubicle job
January 13, 2026 at 5:14 PM
I remember this.

Adams claimed to be cynical about it but that it worked. Until, I'm guessing, it didn't.
my dad was a 90's office drone and therefore a dilbert fan, including buying adams' books. in one he posited his theory of success which, after many chapters of build-up, turned out to just be the "law of attraction." my dad, allergic to woo in all forms, got so annoyed he stopped reading dilbert

Damn. Describes Dilbert to a tee. Bravo.

My parents used to tell me when someone was acting like an asshole publicly to "just ignore them, because you're giving them what they want".

I feel like all of those people grew up to become Trump staffers and MAGA politicians.

The only -bert I acknowledge today.

Scott Adams was the JK Rowling of office comic strips.

What's the expression about everything Trump touches?
January 13, 2026 at 4:50 PM
If Republicans were really concerned about fairness to female athletes they’d make sure they got paid the same as men.
January 13, 2026 at 4:39 PM
Like many 90s workers, I enjoyed the Dilbert comic strip.

And like many people who made their fortune off a single idea, Scott Adams fancied himself a genius in all areas whose life was threatened by people who weren’t white males.

He was the pointy haired boss.

Narcissists never think their own mediocrity is to blame.
Sources: Bari Weiss has privately been deeply frustrated by the negative reaction to her CBS tenure and has blamed subordinates for not stanching the criticism (New York Times)

How fucking inept is this group of assholes that it takes 20 of them to arrest one person.
Not sure but ICE might have killed someone else just now
