1 May next year will be a red letter day for private renters (like me) across the country. The abolition of Section 21 has been a long time coming. 👏🏻
On 1 May 2026, we will abolish Section 21 ‘no-fault’ evictions when we switch on the new private rented sector tenancy system.

More details in our roadmap for implementing the Renters’ Rights Act published today 👇🏻

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

It shouldn’t be underestimated how hard it is for a big city like Manchester, with high levels of need, to get Outstanding for its children’s services. I’ve seen first hand how this is changing lives & outcomes for vulnerable children.

A majority of tickets will cost less, some up to £1.50 per trip.

Any increases will be small (20p) and easily offset through extra flexibility.

The move paves the way for rail coming into the @BeeNetwork from 12/26.

Big thanks to @Heidi_Labour and the DfT team for backing us. 🙏🏻

Before they changed the constituency boundaries, I used to have Afzal Khan as my local MP.

Every time we had Levy Pride on, he made a point of tweeting something nice, polite and supportive about it. And back in 2013 he voted for gay marriage when it comes to it.
If you asked me to come up with the names of politicians who are publicly and unapologetically pro-LGBT and pro-trans rights in particular, two of the most obvious would now both be Muslim mayors of major cities. And both are routinely smeared as regards to 'Sharia Law'.

The votes are in: MPs have REJECTED the Conservative and Liberal Democrat attempts to water down Labour's landmark Employment Rights Bill.

Time for the Lords to get out of the way, so the Government can deliver on their manifesto commitment to implement a New Deal for Working People in full.

The principle that we all contribute to high quality public services and a welfare safety net is a good one. Solidarity is a virtue. It’s not progressive nor left-wing to attack it as a principle. We all contribute, but those with the broadest shoulders contribute the most.

Counterpoint: tax wealth *and* work. Or else explain the radical public service and welfare cuts you’ll make to fund so as not to tax work.

Will the RW media remember the driver and conductor of the Huntingdon attack, and how many lives they saved, the next time train companies try to eliminate staff and they strike, citing passenger safety?

The details coming out about that LNER train is why you'll never catch me complaining that train drivers, train guards, signal operatives and many other staff on our railways simply want a fair wage, one that allows them to live comfortably, for the work they do.

A failed academic, a racist grifter and a dodgy pollster walk into a bar.

Barperson says: “Pint of the usual, Mr Goodwin?”

On a serious note, Goodwin is scum. Absolute scum. He ought to be a complete pariah, not have a standing rent-a-gob invite on to every politics show going.
The sheer greasy desperation from these bastards that any violent crime is committed by an immigrant so they can continue their grift. Even when they know it isn't true. Foul.
Matt Goodwin attributes a crime that he now knows appears to have been committed by people born in Britain in the early 1990s to "mass uncontrolled immigration"

"Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor."

He is also being evicted from his accommodation at Royal Lodge.

Correct action, but it should never have taken this long.

Labour’s transformational Renters’ Rights Bill has just received Royal Assent – that means it is now an Act of Parliament and the law.

The Act levels decisively the playing field between landlord and tenant and will improve the lives of millions of renters across the country.
