Pleased to campaign last night for Angeliki Stogia in Longsight ahead of the Gorton and Denton parliamentary by-election on Thursday, February 26th.🌹

Plenty of support for Angeliki and Labour, and rejection of Reform, and the Greens and their opposition to new social housing in Manchester.🏡

Tonight, Labour MPs voted to scrap the two child limit – a move that puts us on course to drive the biggest reduction of child poverty in a single Parliament.

The Tories and Reform UK voted against it.

Don’t let anyone tell you voting Labour doesn’t make a difference 🌹

Well, just as I thought. Trash.
NEW: Reform UK says it would re-impose the two-child benefit cap - scrapped by Labour - for most families to fund £3bn support package for pubs.

Couldn’t make this up. Farage:
- WAS calling for the two child limit to be scrapped.
- NOW calling for the two child limit to be reinstated.
Reform aren’t just importing failed Tory politicians. They’re importing failed Tory policies.

Most people know, it’s only Labour that can beat Reform in Gorton and Denton.

Labour in Manchester is delivering - better buses, more social housing, more GP appointments, more police on the beat. 👇🏻

Great to have @andyburnham.bsky.social out today giving his full backing to our brilliant candidate Angeliki Stogia for Gorton and Denton.

Andy was clear - we are united against the division of Reform. He wants people to vote Labour to keep them out of Manchester.

Delighted that Angeliki Stogia is Labour’s candidate for Gorton & Denton by-election.

She’s a strong Mancunian woman with Labour values & a record of delivery.

All our doorstep work is clear, only Labour can win against Reform. Don’t risk voting for others.

We chose unity & hope over division.

Massive congratulations to Angeliki on being selected! We were then straight out on the doorstep in Gorton and Denton, fighting for her to be elected as the Labour MP on 26 February. 🌹

A chilly session in Gorton & Denton tonight, big thank you to the Labour team out pounding the pavement and speaking to residents.

The only way of keeping Reform UK out is by voting Labour, so we can stay focused on bringing down the cost of living for families.

Manchester is proud of its diversity. Together we must stand against Reform’s division and hate and elect a local Labour MP who will stand up for the values we share.
