hey

cis folks

i am changing my sex.

hope this helps
It is 2025. The EHRC in the UK keeps trying to materialize a trans bathroom ban out of a muddled UKSC opinion third-sexing all trans people. A bill to criminalise those who provide trans minors with transition care passed in the US House of Representatives.

And cis "allies" still think this helps.

We’ve all trained ourselves to see car infrastructure as “normal” — and therefore its costs as invisible. Roads aren’t expensive, they’re just there. Parking spaces aren’t subsidies, they’re just “necessary”.

But a bus that runs on demand?
That’s

“spending taxpayer money”.
Here are my thoughts for all of you who are tired of hearing people tell them that alternative forms of transportation are “expensive”—while billions are poured into the car system.
For decades.

It's a framing game.
Devoid of content.
Fact-averse.

But successful.

Or: How a society convinced itself that saving money is actually spending it

It's also worth remembering that this narrative is Nazi in a way that actually pre-dates the Holocaust.

Hitler rose to power telling a story of a Germany shackled by guilt and shame (and of course the material concessions fallout) from WWI
This message from the US State Department about "not wanting allies to be shackled by guilt and shame" is a pretty direct call-out to the German far-right argument that Germany has spent too long feeling guilty about the Holocaust, and needs to move on and stop doing remembrance.

It was hard to conclude anything other than that DHS’s basic remit was to guard its authority and make sure it never waned.

Lots of us used a pronoun labeler on here that has gone away, but there's a new pronoun labeler people are using.

Labelers can be confusing if you haven't used them before (& even if you have). They can be used in different ways.

This thread shows you how to use the pronoun labeler. 🧵

Yall, I am not a warehouse architect. I understand the warehouses are shitty as is and no one should be in them. But if billions weren’t being poured into DHS the point is that it could be poured into making unused real estate better right? Into helping people? We can all imagine this reality, yes?

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

I like how libs like actively screech at anyone who points this out, and then these ghouls are just loudly and proudly taking credit for building up and funding the fascist apparatus.

but fen, just apply to these tech jobs like you used to have why haven’t you gotten a job yet
and this is in tech where, according to the stereotype, life is real easy for us and that’s why we all have high paid jobs, right??

as bleak as it is, it’s actually really comforting to see other trans siblings in the same boat

i’ve been unemployed since i was laid off the end of 2024, draining my retirement

most recently got denied a job at a grocer who still has “hiring” signs all over…it’s a lot of work for rejections
there is an employment crisis among trans women and there always has been, but good luck getting people to see it
Still living this life after almost 8 months. A professional I know who works almost exclusively with trans people said almost all of them are unemployed.

this is why i post asking for donations so much. i could only take being rejected by dozens of jobs that I didn't even want so much before just giving up on the world.

it took years to get a gaming job, they wouldn't let me transfer when I escaped Texas (2023), and ive had literally no luck since.

Once you’ve entered into an argument about, say, ethnic or religious cleansing, you’ve essentially legitimised the idea of somebody’s right to continue to exist is up for debate and that cleansing all the minorities and cleansing nobody at all are equally extreme or valid points of view.

If Stephen Miller switches parties to become a Democrat, wins the dem primary, and is the candidate vs. Trump in the next election, I will not vote for Stephen Miller.

He is awful, his policies are awful, and it doesn't matter if he'd be "better" than Trump.

This is a post about Gavin Newsom.

People who see “voting isn’t how you get real change, just choosing the conditions you organize under” as arguing for voter apathy are telling on themselves that they only see politics as something to do occasionally on a ballot, not built every day through community, solidarity & collective action.

like as @taliabhatt.itch.io points out "they don't claim to be real women" is usually code for "they know they can't get pregnant" which only means the same thing on a profoundly misogynist version of "womanhood." anyway i was reading wikipedias about tuvalu and got mad

Another must watch video.

"What they say is not the truth."

They're still out there abducting people today and we still need people out there observing and patrolling (stationary or on the move). Mutual aid is still needed, pretty much everything we've been doing is still needed.
Someone was abducted at 10 AM by ICE on Central Ave. Their coworker says they’ve lived here for over 20 years, are documented, and have 3 kids who were born here.

Don’t be fooled by headlines when they’ve been lying to us the whole time. We still need you out patrolling until every agent is gone.
