The amount of like gen X or older adults I've heard that have shared a very specific and deceptively mild story of why it's fair for them to stereotype whatever specific marginalized group they want is wild. I'm 28 and still waiting for the "racism is right sometimes actually" epiphany.

Somedays when I know I can't mentally handle whatever influx of horrible news is likely happening, I just open Bluesky for 10 seconds to do a quick hopeful skim for overwhelming celebration. One of these days. I can feel it.

YES!!!! Call your senators!! Senate Rs only need ~8 to break off and pass the DHS funding. Hold their feet to the fire. And if they end the shutdown without stripping DHS or winning any meaningful victory? They're all to blame, not just Schumer, not just the senators who officially vote yes. All.

Spent $750 for the emergency vet to tell us our kitten got an inflamed bladder princely from stress. The only possible cause is we switched wet cat food. And you know what if the best meal of my day got all switched up on me and I couldn't communicate that I'd probably be stressed too so I get it.

He's senile, I mean. He is. At what point do you realize you've lost complete control over the senile old man your entire party kneels to. Never had a firm stance on it, but now I do. Congress needs term limits. They get cozy, rich, and will do anything for re-election. It's not just Republicans.

I'd say like 20% of why I've been losing weight recently(positive overall) is bc when Chumba(9 mo kitten) is sleeping I'm too scared to wake him up by walking to the kitchen. I'm like 3rd in charge in this apartment but honestly thank you Chumba.

Going back to school part-time at 28 yo is awesome. Today I was talking to this 20 yo guy next to me and he was like "yeah I have to take a freshman class which sucks because it's a bunch of 18 yos lol" and I got to say "lol I feel you I'm 28" and register his respectful level of surprise🙏👵
