Using the word "rogue" implies that they are not under control & that they are not working as intended. Neither of these things are true. It is nascent internal police of a rogue nation which is intended as an arm of repression & which is working as intended.

I mean, if he shoved his arm through a recently broken window (or, worse yet, broke the window by punching his way through it), one would expect severe lacerations. However, this would not be so much assault as stupidity.

This is the thing about the "Don't give them the pretext to send in more feds" arguments. The administration is using its own murder of an unarmed civilian as the pretext to send in more agents. They do not need a pretext and will invent them if they want.
