ICE’s pending $30 billion budget exceeds the military spending of nearly every country, including Canada, Brazil, Mexico, and Iran.

ICE + CBP funding for 2026 would total $66 billion, higher than all but 7 militaries worldwide.
After a string of ICE murders, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries proposed reforms — and $11 billion more for ICE.

Including reconciliation bill funding, the Schumer-Jeffries plan would give ICE a $30 billion budget, higher than all but 15 militaries worldwide:

For every one of these Kafkaesque stories of inhumane cruelty i am guessing you can multiply by twenty the number of similar cases we don't hear about because the victim is not white, or fluent in English, or doesn't have advocates able and willing to go public

Being MAGA must be so exhausting. You can’t watch the Super Bowl half time show because despite tons of non-Americans having performed, Fox News has told you the Spanish-speaking American dude isn’t American enough. So instead you have to tune into TPUSA and pretend to like Kid Rock 😆

Fun fact: Trump is mentioned in the Epstein files more than Jesus is mentioned in the bible.

And that’s just the unredacted version.

The mainstream news media will never call Trump explicity racist. They'll always dodge the allegation. That's because the white people running the joints need to believe that there is a distinction between donig racist things and promoting racist polices, versus being *personally* racist.

Racism is not an unknowable disease of the heart, it's a provable set of actions and responses. That's why the @nytimes.com can't handle. For them to admit that Trump is racist would mean they'd have to admit they been carrying the water for a racist all these years. They won't ever do that.

read online that someone set-up a premium rate phone number where callers get charged $3.99/ min. then they posted flyers in their neighborhood that said "call this number to report illegal aliens," but the number just puts them on hold with music. so far, they've made $17,000

Someone spun up a social network for AI agents.

Almost immediately some began strategizing how to establish covert communications channels to hide from humans.

In many cases the agents are on machines that have access to personal data.

"Privacy breach" won't begin to capture what is coming. 1/

It’s the 1990s. I’m trying to explain many abuses we see at Ruby Ridge and Waco reflect entrenched practices of law enforcement.

It’s the 2000s. I’m trying to explain many abuses we see under the PATRIOT ACT reflect entrenched practices of American law enforcement.

It’s 2025. Guess the fuck what.

Last year, a human trafficking victim trapped in a crypto scam compound in the Golden Triangle region of Laos contacted me. He then proceeded to leak to me a huge collection of the compound's internal materials.

Then he had to get out alive. This is his story.

What a fun and relevant learning experience
Last term I tried an experiment: I walked into my Tech and Design Ethics class, admitted that I had *no idea* what to do about ChatGPT - so I would let them figure it out.

As in: their first project was to decide and write the ChatGPT policy for the class.

Here's what happened:

Whenever you're accused of being "Un-American," remember:

Jefferson Davis said abolitionists "lacked patriotism & moral principle"
The KKK said "America First" meant "love of country"
J. Edgar Hoover said MLK was "motivated by hate for America"
Throwback Thursday: I Do Not Love America
As Theodore DeReese Pendergrass once said: ‘It’s so good loving a country when your country loves you back.’ I’ll let you know when it happens.
