Notably, many of the city council members doing on the ground work have backgrounds that many establishment Dems locally have considered disqualifying. Voters disagreed, and for good reason as we see now.

Everything is really scary and horrible, and on the utter flipside, we made these really adorable valentines.

The dissonance of seeing horror, then posting "hey buy some cute valentines" is making me feel loopy.

But also nice things persist despite terror? Ugh idk.

A little preview of some of the past I've drawn on for what I'm publishing tomorrow. Arguments over who "real" Americans are and whether we can hold close our cultural and religious heritage *and* be American go way back. This is from 1916, but I have clips going back to the 1890s.

Apologies if you know this or it came up already but you can get query logs of your DL#, plate#, VIN, or permit to carry # from DPS/DVS/BCA. They have to turn it over within 10 days of request. It will identify the agency who did it, with a timestamp, what they asked for, what they got in response.

Guys I think they're instantly getting DVS data.

Pulled up next to this guy on central going south in Columbia heights, followed him, they turned around, got on 694, crossed the river, and went straight to my house in Brooklyn center.

📣 DID YOU KNOW? 🚁

Ongoing aerial surveillance and "crowd monitoring" by the MN State Patrol in coordination with the MPD is shared directly with federal forces, including DHS & ICE, with no local oversight.

Here's what that means, and what we our state and local officials must do about it NOW.

Mainstream news seems to be talking about protesters in Minnesota. There are some.
But most of the clips you might see of whistles or car horns or shouting are just people in the neighborhood.

what the client often hears from that is "this lawyer disagrees with my cause and disapproves of my politics" - which is not the correct way to hear it.

Remember, Fae Rules apply with the law: listen to *exactly* what's said, and don't assume beyond that - ask followup questions.

It's worth your time to call Hilton to cancel your account with them. 1-800-446-6677. Here's why:

They asked me if it was because of the ICE thing. I said it was. Then they suggested I wait a couple days to see if they were going to change course.

The pressure is getting to them. Let's keep it up.

Here in #Minneapolis, even with all the shit going on, it's still cold out, and a small donation to groups like @supplydepotmpls.bsky.social might save a life.
I cannot emphasize enough that if you feel sad, donating money makes you feel better. Local food bank, diaper bank, mutual aid, a favorite charity, cancer research, or a local news site like @thecity.nyc; there are so many options. Money is the most efficient donation. Or sign up to volunteer.

fortunately(!), i believe in a future where we're all free from coercive "consent" and threats to withhold shelter, or medical care, or food, or whatever other fundamental human needs that ought to be rights. wishing to exercise that isn't pessimistic about technology; it's optimistic about humanity
