Coming up to a whole year since my colossal retrospective of TV Century 21. This is one of my Gerry Anderson pieces that I'm quite proud of - even if it feels like I've still barely scratched the surface of how the comic worked!
It's been wall-to-wall Hitchcocks these past 24 hours. The house has been full of the dulcet tones of Cary Grant, James Stewart, Ray Milland. Those accents just don't exist anymore, do they?

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.
I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

I've got a new collection coming out in 2026 (Thin Places in Hard Concrete) so you'd better crack on and read the previous two.
Between them ‘Municipal Gothic’ and ‘Intervals of Darkness’ have 27 stories full of haunted buildings, haunted people, and working class weirdness. Obviously *I* think they're great – but so do strangers who owe me nothing!
