Speaking for myself, I love Danger At Ocean Deep for the one two punch of:
- It's an extremely bad idea to dump/pollute areas with foreign biomatter
- Greedy capitalists will ignore the previous point to make money off the most pedestrian products imaginable (dog food!)

I must be one of the 46% who was conditioned instead by the comic TV21.
They're proud of the Empire because the climate of culture, literature and war films they grew up in conditioned them to be. Victor comic patriots. Eagle annual little Englanders.
Older men are prouder of the Empire (54%) than older women (35%). Few of those aged 60+ (born up to 1965) are old enough to have had much to do with Empire personally
My generation didn't have anything to do with it is usually a defence against "ashamed" but that doesn't work if want to say "proud"
