In a lot of ways other leftists chose this path folks. They shrugged and didn’t care when Patreon banned a ton of hypnosis and TF creators, or when YouTube started their ASMR crackdown. Now it’s coming for queer porn creators, more and more. Who will stand up?

I was one of a team of people (four of us plus our great dane) working on exposing what was going on on Spooky Island. I don't know every conversation held within the group since we often split up, but I know we dedicated ourselves to exposing the monster. We had no way to know it was Scrappy.
I was at NYT for 7 years & one of a dozen reporters who investigated Epstein’s interactions w/the rich & powerful. I don’t know every conversation held at every level there, but I do know we dedicated ourselves to exposing those who supported Epstein & engaged in the abuse of girls he facilitated

It is ofc not only a symbolic victory to have Mamdani in actual power, who is both comically nicer than his opponents believe and still far lefter and more willing to engage in combat on this basis than practically any major US politician in a long time. Yet it is symbolic also, & that's good.
Nobody celebrate symbolic wins or you're doing a bourgeois electoralism! Revolution means eating turnips and gruel as a babushka raps you on the knuckles with a cast iron ladle

The Israelis are genuinely not used to their relationship with the Anglosphere, and in particular the United States, being in any way contingent upon their treatment of the Palestinians. They do not know how to process that it will increasingly be the case and in all likelihood will just go crazier.
You can't rebrand until you actually change the reality on the ground. It's bizarre that some people (on a variety of topics) don't seem to recognize this.
Full text of the Erdan post here. They are increasingly realizing that US-Israel relations are due for a change. I think they will struggle with the "rebrand" inasmuch as "younger" and "minority" Americans have protest repression in recent memory.
