On July 18, the Acquisition Logistics Company received a contract worth a reported $1.26 billion for the construction and operation of an immigrant detention center in El Paso County, Texas.

Acquisition Logistics Company doesn’t even have an office: its listed headquarters is a residential house.
This Tuckahoe home won a $1.26 billion contract for an ICE detention center. The owner isn't talking.
The company’s website is dated and largely accessible only via login.

For years we've heard from the right about "welfare queens" and other so-called "freeloaders" pulling one over on the government.

But actually, it's the wealthy who are the real freeloaders — pulling one over on us all by skirting their taxes.

Where is the outrage over that?

In one of the most important cases to watch, federal district court finds Elon Musk actions (in this case toward #USAID) in violation of the Appointments Clause - sufficient to issue a preliminary injunction.

A very big deal.

Maybe orchestras and companies that normally perform at the Kennedy Center should find one of the many other venues in Washington to perform at? I suspect many of us would prefer to attend concerts, theater, etc., in an atmosphere of freedom, not under the patronage of a wannabe tinpot dictator.

This would be disqualifying for a Democratic or Republican nominee in normal times.

This Senate will probably find this to be a positive quality, though.
