In other words, the liberal arts has provided an all-you-can-eat, buffet style approach to education while the “skills-based,” careerist approach that now seeks to replace it is more like being force-fed spoonfuls of tepid gruel.
This trend is giving me life. College is cool, knowledge is great. The liberal arts is rad. Being well rounded is the GOAT.

Fund all colleges and universities. We should be throwing money at them. Make it affordable for all. Let people take underwater basket weaving if they choose.

If you live outside the United States, I'm sure the senator's office would love to hear how much more you respect the United States now that Donald Trump is president again.

Here's his number: (202) 224-5251
Sen. John Curtis: "I am grateful for your role. I believe uneqviocably [sic] that you and President Trump have made the world a safer place. I push back on the false narrative that we're not respected. I think we're respected far more than we were around the world."

Cruelty is not the point, because cruelty does not capture the fact that they take pleasure in this man’s pain.

Sadism is the point.
Maher Tarabishi, who has been detained by ICE since October, was the primary caretaker of his disabled adult child, Wael.

On Jan. 23, Wael died from complications related to Pompe disease, a rare genetic condition.

ICE has now denied Maher’s request to attend his funeral, his attorney says.

Its not that the media is not covering what is happening, but it does feel like the military occupation of an American city should be treated as a national crisis.

The homeowner requests a warrant repeatedly, is told they don't require one, then is told they're getting it, then the agents storm in anyway

They also point a taser at her to try and disrupt filming

This agency is out of control if leadership is no longer checking violations of constitutional rights. Congress absolutely must step in before more people are kidnapped/killed.

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

I was just denied access to the ICE processing center at the Whipple Building.

Members of Congress have a legal right and constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight where people are being detained.

The public deserves to know what is taking place in ICE facilities.
JUST NOW: Huge mass of agents in a standoff, weapons drawn as Reps. Ilhan Omar, Angie Craig, and Kelly Morrison attempt to conduct congressional oversight at the Whipple Building, which has been HQ for thousands of ICE agents.

When Renee Good said "I'm not mad at you" what the ICE goon heard was "I'm not scared of you."

That's what enraged him. The populace wasn't fully terrorized and cowed into submission yet, so he acted to make that happen.

Re-examination of dairy as a single commodity in US dietary guidance - PubMed
Dairy products have been a key component of dietary guidance in the United States for more than 100 years. In light of major advances in the understanding of dietary intake and metabolism, the aim of this review was to examine whether dairy should remain a single commodity in federal guidance. Consi …
