A Retreat is time spent with God away from the busyness of everyday life. It is a precious time to place ourselves in His hands, and to listen for His Word for our lives. Retreats can last several days, or just a few hours. Where might you go? promotingretreats.org/where #retreat #prayer

I regret to inform Leila Cunningham that Londoners do not need her “pity.”

What it needs is for fewer people to talk about it like it’s a haunted theme park - I live here, and it is, despite its issues, a fabulous place to be.
Apparently, I’m Supposed to be Pitied for Living in London

Ipswich Crematorium have decided to pass on their collection of books and, rather than bin them, wondered if churches and other groups can make use of them?

Many are in near mint condition and are free to anyone who needs them

With all that's going on at the minute, the idea that our planet is actually a giant computer, run by and for mice, which has spent millennia working on the answer to the meaning of life ... actually makes some kind of sense.
"Earthman, the planet you lived on was commissioned, paid for, and run by mice. It was destroyed five minutes before the completion of the purpose for which it was built, and we've got to build another one."

David Tennant was in front of me in the queue in Boots years ago. I had a stinking cold, so my thought process wasn't capable of much beyond noting "that's David Tennant".
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Medievalists: has anyone ever written on the impact that C19 vicars had on the editing and discussion of medieval sources?

I’ve no idea where to start with this, but recently wanted to explore it as a side project… 🧐
