Sorry you've had that response, and I hope it's outweighed by the many messages of congratulations - including this one!

Yes, but in gesturing widely to show how much God loves everyone, have you ever hit the Chief Rabbi in the face, as Archbishop Desmond Tutu once did?!

My mother has always been a Doctor Who fan, so I was introduced to it not long after birth. Apparently, I was fine with the aliens, but screamed when the humans were on.

*grits teeth* yeah, thanks a bunch ...

My dad slightly knows the previous South Wales Police & Crime Commissioner; apparently every time they meet, Dad reminds Alun Michael that he's never got an answer to the question he asked when AM first got the job, about how he (Dad) could actually go about commissioning a crime ...

Things I didn't know I needed, #1258962: the possibility (not even the actuality) of there being a recording of 'The Waste Land' read by DeForest Kelley.

I live about a mile pretty much due south of the Barrier. If (when?) it fails, the good news is that I won't have to walk up the hill after I've got the boat home from work. The bad news is that my office on the Strand will probably be underwater, so I won't be going to work in the first place ...
