I thought that I'd finally seen every Thai restaurant pun that could possibly be made, but fusion restaurants open up an exciting new universe of possibilities

I've been thinking about this study a lot in terms of explaining how the left is perceived as more annoying and moralizing despite the right openly attempting a theocratic government. We frame most arguments in moral terms, and it's off-putting to those who don't share our morals (and many who do!)

isaac chotiner: right. but you didn't cancel your hulu account.

me: that's correct.

chotiner: they're owned by the same company. you're aware of that, right?

me: yes, but it's not like — it's nuanced.

chotiner: sure, sure.

Dems advertising that they are capitulating to threats of violence is not an especially smart plan even on narrow selfpreservation concerns

LINK ROT: 38% webpages that existed in 2013 were no longer available 10 years later.

Even among pages that existed in 2021, 22% no longer accessible just two years later. This is often because individual page was deleted or removed on otherwise functional website.
