This isn't a closing election argument, it's Vidkun Quisling explaining why surrender is better than resistance.

Spent the last decade reading conservative blogs use the word "Orwellian" more than they used the word "the" and now they're literally just saying "War is Peace" out loud in front of everybody.
Hegseth: "As history teaches us, the only people who actually deserve peace and those who are willing to wage war to defend it. That's why pacifism is so naive and dangerous."

I hate both of these teams but I hate one of them just a little bit more. (Very unsettling to be rooting for the Cowboys)

Can’t wait to grab another three points
In case anyone was curious, the Bears are 23-3 since 2008 when intercepting at least 3 passes in a game.

Okay, this one’s a little bit diffferent — a quick video from me, wondering if “Taylor’s Version” might give us a glimpse to a way forward in the war against AI robots scraping up all the content of the internet without consent or compensation. youtu.be/X7jbRY3MvpQ

Jesus loved them so much, almost to the point of protecting them.
Fox News' Trey Gowdy: "The only thing that can give us any modicum of peace at all is those two children are with the person who loved them the very most, the person who created them, that being Jesus. That is the only thing that can possibly give parents in the future any modicum of peace."

.@minakimes.bsky.social Some awesome wordless books worth checking out: Welcome to Mamoko (by Aleksandra & Daniel Mizielińscy) and Journey (by Aaron Becker @storybreathing.bsky.social). My daughters spent hours on these, LOVED them. Mamoko's out of print, but you can still find it used fairly easily
Halfway thru reading this to my toddler I was like…damn this is how he learns about automation and technological unemployment huh

Wow. That was... stunning.
I am still haunted by this poem, "The Myth Was Never The Unicorn," written by one of the teens who participated in the creative writing program at the museum this summer. A reminder that girls are always aware.

As long as it's also mandated that they must live only off what they earn, I'm all for it. Seeing how people treat service workers is still the best litmus test for whether a person is decent or a chode. Maybe if some of them had to walk in those shoes they'd come out the other side better people.
i believe that at 18 every american should be entered into a draft, not for military service, but for one year of mandatory retail or restaurant work

All of Democratic messaging could be improved if put in burger terms.
The easiest way to explain this is to put it in burger terms.

If suddenly like half of all mcdonalds customers were turned away at the door and not allowed to order food, they would run out of money and have to close restaurants and fire people even if you personally have not been turned away.
Megabill may not be a silver bullet for Democrats in the midterms
“I think that there are some people who are like, ‘Well, I’m not on Medicaid, so it’s not going to affect me,'" said one Dem candidate. www.politico.com/news/2025/07...
