Maybe a hot take re: FAA flight cancelations, but we're all going to have to be OK with some level of personal inconvenience in the name of solidarity. We can't all be so out for ourselves (recognizing, though, yes, this *is* our birthright as Americans)

Cool to see this state-level design system tracker by @beeckcenter.bsky.social. Contrary to the beliefs of some—design is so much more than branding and beauty. And it looks like at least MD and NJ are using USWDS as a base (and maybe soon CO).

For any nonprofit that has a "donate" page on its website—it really makes a difference on the margin if it answers the "is this tax deductible?" question for potential donors.

Shoutout to those that do (even if the answer is no), and to those who send year-end tax receipts for recurring donations.

It'd been almost a year since I updated my "Breaking Into Civic Tech" guide (www.chriskuang.com/civictech/) because I couldn't bring myself to remove the likes of 18F and the legacy U.S. Digital Service for the longest time.
Breaking Into Civic Tech
When I first learned about civic tech back in 2017, it was an entirely different field. Few resources existed for those hoping to learn more and/or break in.

Huge Des Linden fan. Glad to see her going out of professional marathoning on her own terms (and at Boston, no less), but it sure doesn't sound like she's done with running by any stretch.

Muncy with another 18th inning walk-off seems like the appropriate way to end this.
