Folks who are fortunate enough to have access to a gym with a steamroom and/sauna, and for whatever reason do not rinse off before partaking - why are you the way that you are?

Oh cool, old crotchsweat and funk I just love that for us all.

The professor here does an excellent job grounding the issues Anderssen avoids in making his weird self-emulating and honestly racist lament of our society's mild attempts to address systemic issues that same racism helped establish.

Thank you professor!
I'm a professor at the flagship university for the fourth whitest state in the US. Over 80% of our students are white.

The biggest barrier to access here is that due to lack of state funding, we have top 10 highest tuition per capita of public unis in the country.

We also have a food pantry.
oh, we have some straightforward gutter racism. “the blacks and the browns are the reason white people can’t get ahead” www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2...

I think we just need to fully comprehend that a lot of these leaders just either cannot or will not keep up.
My honest guess is Schumer has some prior War Powers legislation in mond, but does not understand the need to add that context.
While that honestly seems like a hard task, THATS THE JOB
Am I missing something or is it very unclear what “it” means here
Schumer puts out a statement: "We must enforce the War Powers Act, and I’m urging Leader Thune to put it on the Senate floor immediately. I am voting for it and implore all Senators on both sides of the aisle to vote for it."

It is essential for the rule of law that everyone involved in this end up in prison. Nothing else is a sufficient deterrent against the intentional, repeated abuse of government power to systematically deny fundamental rights.

So we're just going full police state, I guess? Seems like a problem. Sure would be nice to see some Democratic leadership take this seriously.

*Some noises about repealing Section 230*

Ah good, definitely should grant more power to the same govt agencies doing police state stuff.

Get them out.

Where is the lie?
Democrats built their entire party structure on polite deference, seniority, and chasing bipartisanship—as opposed to elevating the most talented and passionate politicians.

...Leaving too many pale, stale (and, frankly, male) lawmakers in prominent positions.
Primary Every Democrat
It’s exhausting to watch poll-tested, donor-beholden congressional Democrats continue to be too old, too cloistered, and too bumbling to do anything as the government burns.

This has been an ongoing project for a while, and liberals everywhere need to recognize the threat these actors pose to a liberal democracy.
Rufo is a slime ball whose modus operandi is to conflate sexual perversion with LGBTQ+ communities, and has used it to push them out of education spaces.
And so here it is all laid out. The intention to overturn the Civil
Rights Act,to dismantle the Dept of Education, to bankrupt leading universities, to replace liberal arts education w/something that conservatives haven’t created & don’t have the educators to create. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/07/o...

Really needs to be a quick 2-3 click method to tell the democratic party leadership just how badly they suck at any given time.

It is wild that Dems hire consultants to help them gauge their party interest at a time when it seems clear their own party actively dislikes them so much.

But who might he bring out to perform with him at halftime of Super Bowl LIX?

Aelis is back in the big city! She's thrilled! No more goats! Buuuut a lot of people are gonna try to kill her. Some to most of them are wizards with a lot more power (political and magical) than her.

That next step is daunting, but someone needs to take them and my kids are counting on me.
Sometimes feels foolish to have become a parent in the Biden era. My kids face fewer rights, a less habitable world, and ascendant reactionaries, a grim tide only temporarily arrested. But it's also the best, most clarifying change I've ever made. How can I not fight for better? These are the stakes

I used one of those all-in-one breakfast sandwich makers this morning (thank you White Elephant). The end product is not too bad!

I'm not sure it beats frying an egg while some bread toasts, slapping some cheese and stacking it up - but the novelty was neat. Cleanup wasn't too much either.
