"Can you write any documentation for this work" usually is enough to shake the 'super devs' out. The follow-up "Oh good, lets have one of your team members review that" can begin the healing.

Depending on how toxic/gelled the team is at least.

I've never understood how the beltway holds onto open secrets - like its not preventing the knowledge from getting out, but rather that there's some sort of imprint of authenticity that they can withhold, and its crazy looking at it from any kind of non-medis perspective

This seems pretty run of the mill for what X is these days.

As for Klein, that Ta-Nehisi Coates interview was pretty much the nail in the coffin.

I got this a kid growing up, with a mini bedroom Nerf basketball hoop.

Your kiddos are in for a great time :)

"yeah the first post was obnoxious, but REALLY you needed it to flesh out his nuanced point, where it was essential that he bemoan some campaign manager carting hygiene products around"

It was a bad post.
December 28, 2025 at 3:37 PM
It's a bad post - claiming the following threaded posts somehow make it good is not how posts work.

You also can't blame "no one really cares as long as they get to be cathartically angry". Im sure there are some unhinged folks online, but most people just found it obnoxious and disagree with you.
December 28, 2025 at 3:34 PM
You kicked this one off by saying a "campaign manager shouldn't be shleping around 5600 tampons", and then worked back to 'mutual aid with campaign funds is problematic and should not be a model for other campaigns', which is not a logical throughline
December 27, 2025 at 7:45 PM
"Go to hell. Figure it out yourself."

Really appreciate the attributed quote that no one said, really clarifies what you're doing. Especially when you are also assigning me someone i don't say.

I think he's mostly in the wrong here, but this kind of response is what sucks on bsky.
December 27, 2025 at 6:38 PM
Do you think her campaign does not want to win their election? And I most certainly did not say it was their only reason for doing so.

I would speak to what you want to say, and avoid trying to tell me what im saying.
December 27, 2025 at 6:35 PM
I think its ok to want both, and less helpful to assume one outcome for moral clarity. Its not cynicism to recognize there is space for self interest
December 27, 2025 at 6:11 PM
I think what she's done so far is a credit, and i hope it works out
December 27, 2025 at 6:09 PM
I think there are valid concerns about campaign finance that I'm hoping Kat's campaign has thought about that Will raises, and future concerns about where this type of campaign goes from here (Tammany Hall).
December 27, 2025 at 6:09 PM
Now who is making an assumption? This is a situation where both can be true.

I think Will is being a contrarian, especially as his initial post was about what a good use of a campaign manager's time is and then pivoted to potential finance issues.

Over-engineered wall mounted cast iron grinder and a percolator.

It'll take up too much space, and probably cause some kind of marital strife. Potentially decent coffee tho
December 27, 2025 at 5:36 PM
A lot of his arguments boil down to binary choices, which i think is meant to clarify his criticisms but end up leaving the actual complex, real life issues in preference of the binary.

I want her mutual aid to work.
I want her campaign financials and ethics to work.

There is room for both.
December 27, 2025 at 5:23 PM
They have an expectation - they want to win an election. Otherwise the person could just run mutual aid and not run for office. That's not a bad thing, but its not for nothing either.
December 27, 2025 at 5:20 PM
"It’s extremely ambiguous what they’re doing"

The issue here is WHO it is ambiguous to - the campaign just might have a better understanding of this than you do!

Like the thing here is it sounds like you have some questions you need to resolve.
December 27, 2025 at 4:02 PM
"I have some deep concerns about the financial and ethical means of this campaign" is NOT what you were implying when you said Kat's campaign manager had better things to do than "shleping around 5600 tampons".
December 27, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Systems just like, slow you down, man.

*Brain falls out of hat*
December 27, 2025 at 4:23 AM
The BPP was successful? So successful that the FBI geared up COINTELPRO to target and sabotage it?

Attributing its fall to the aspects of the party that were largely its most successful components is wild.
December 27, 2025 at 4:13 AM
How did you start way over to there, and get to here?
December 27, 2025 at 4:07 AM
Just a bad take - it might not pan out! But its hard not to see the positive impact running campaign this way could make, to say nothing of numerous examples of parties doing this same thing successfully in the past.

Nah, just bad design. There are lazy loader elements specifically created to help block out a page layout, but they eat resources. Shave some ms off load, or subject client side to some stuttering? Eng gonna shave

The DOJ had it - and Biden was still acting as though there was separation between the admin and the DOJ.

That said, the DOJ did have this and could have done that - but Garland again was trying to be sober, slow, blah blah
