Trump's vengeful tone shows he genuinely doesn't support First Amendment rights. He's an instinctive tyrant waging war against America's Constitution & founding principles.

As Benjamin Franklin warned, "Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech."

The President of the United States is threatening to go to war with an American city.

This is not a joke. This is not normal.

Donald Trump isn't a strongman, he's a scared man. Illinois won’t be intimidated by a wannabe dictator.

It's the time piece I want to focus on. The key thing about the benefits of a clean energy system is that, once we've transitioned, *we will enjoy those benefits for the rest of our time on earth*. Every subsequent generation of humans will enjoy the benefits. They will accumulate & accumulate.

Awful to hear of these deaths. It’s horrendous to me that one needs to worry not only about actual antisemitism but how governments could use this as a license for wrongdoing.

Today we're demanding the retirement systems’ managers strengthen their #NetZero plans consistent with their fiduciary duty—or we will find new managers who will.

This piece by my mentor and friend @billmckibben.bsky.social, powerful and true, is such an accurate summary of the state of things.
The new administrator of the E.P.A. is likely to reverse the long-standing federal position that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases endanger the public—a “truly and deeply disgraceful” form of basic science denial, Bill McKibben writes.
