Unrig the Game by @vanessapriyadaniel.bsky.social may be the most consequential book about nonprofits and I haven’t even read it yet. So many people telling me how accurately it describes past and current experiences of leaders of color, I have a copy but am hesitant to read about the shared trauma.

The majority of the country, across the political spectrum, knows that the status quo has been failing them miserably and is willing to shake things up, throw open the windows and the doors, and even walk outside into the sunlight of freedom.

This’s a long one.

TLDR: What needs to be done requires us to get more comfortable w/contradictions & complexity, but doing the right thing, loving your neighbor through your actions, taking collective action to build & sustain our power, & reveal & make evil uncomfortable, is pretty damn simple.
