The U.S. currently has more prisoners and a more sophisticated system of concentration camps than Nazi Germany had on the eve of World War II in 1939
ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...

Someone should probably do something
ICE is currently holding around 80,000 detainees. Nazi Germany didn't reach this number in its formal camp system until 1942, nine years after seizing power and three years into the war.

Super Bowl viewers Sunday speculated that 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos appeared in the halftime show. In fact, he has been in hiding with his family.

โ€œHe canโ€™t sleep well at night. He wakes up three or four times a night screaming, โ€˜Daddy, Daddy,โ€™โ€ Liam's father Adrian Conejo Arias, said.

I talked w/ uniformed health workers about their deployments to prisons where ICE holds immigrants.

ICE's operation is especially secretive at Guantanamo -- the place where America flouted its own rules to torture detainees post 9/11.

Doctors, nurses, and other officers are increasingly being deployed to ICE detention centers. Some have resigned in protest, while others offer a rare look into bleak conditions.

My first grader (a US citizen) came home from school crying because a friend from class (also a US citizen) hasnโ€™t been coming to school because his parents (one of whom is not a citizen) are afraid of ICE.

Little kids donโ€™t have concepts of racism and xenophobia. That has to be taught. Or imposed.

wrt to some of the replies to this post, part of why the media has โ€œmoved onโ€ is because it has become extraordinarily difficult to document ICE activity on the ground, outside of them arresting citizens.
