Welp, my good day couldn’t last. vet thinks we should consider putting down our cat Artemis. We knew this was coming for a long time. I’m hoping to keep him going past Christmas before going down that path, but it depends how he reacts to the pills we got.

An exceptional reason to mask and test! There are now combo flu/covid tests and while they aren’t perfect, having everyone take one before meeting for Thanksgiving could save people from at best a week of misery and at worst disability or death. A no brainer.
Got the flu last year on Thanksgiving and it really sucked. Obviously vaccine is no guarantee you won’t get it, but it’s basically free with no downside and is, imho, a no-brainer.

An exceptional reason to mask and test! There are now combo flu/covid tests and while they aren’t perfect, having everyone take one before meeting for Thanksgiving could save people from at best a week of misery and at worst disability or death. A no brainer.
There’s a bird stuck in the down pipe outside my bedroom and I can’t get it out. It’s going to rain in the next few hours and I’m feeling horrible. It’s too early to call a business (7am) to help. I’m so mad there’s no wire mesh at the top to prevent this. I’ve always worried about this scenario.
