This. I sometimes get frustrated by author choices, but I never take them personally, cuz it's not my book. There is no one right answer, most of the time, and all I can do is offer my best advice from experience. That doesn't make it the word of god, and you (and your publisher) have the final say.

Some days, having chronic pain is a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. You can do everything "right" and your body will still decide to hurt you. So if you know folks living with chronic pain, know that many times we are masking it to be able to participate in our lives.

I hate this and love it in equal measure.
I made food for the house! And used up leftovers! Egg scramble with steak, potatoes, green beans, broccoli, spinach, quinoa, and a great deal of cheese. It doesn't look photogenic, but it tasted amazing. As the person who usually cooks, apparently I have been missed during my convalescence.

I managed to actually cook a thing and then immediately had to go lie down from pain before I could eat or package it up. This is terrible. But at least it's getting better overall?
