New snuggle buddy keeping me company while I recover from yesterday's dental ordeal. Sadly, beloved potato cat Orion and his human moved back home across the country for family reasons, but this is new housemate's lovely tortie, Chance, who immediately decided we were best friends.

The roast took 3 hours to make instead of the 1.75 the recipe claimed, but everything was SO GOOD. Sides: lemon pepper asparagus, wild rice mix seasoned with chicken broth and garlic, balsamic feta beets. Excuse me while I roll myself across the house like Violet Beauregard.
A stuffed lamb roast being carved. It's falling apart, but the crust is a lovely gold colour and the inside is perfectly pink. Dinner side dishes set out to serve: asparagus, beets with crumbled feta cheese, and a bowl full of a mix of wild and long-grain rice. My plate of dinner, with a little bit of everything.

Him: "Can you tie a roast?"
Me: "I am offended that you would even ask whether I can shibari some hefty meat."

Then I shooed him out of my way to roll and tie and sear the roast to prep it for crust.
