I really can't overstate how badly caught off-guard the entire financial world is by this announcement. It's pretty clearly worse than the consensus worst-case scenarios.
Have been preparing for this day for a while and coming into this morning I really thought there was a chance we had oversold what Trump was gonna do. I spent actual time thinking about it. And then the reality was SOOOOOO much dumber and worse than anyoneโs expectations
