Most were on Celebrity Apprentice, one is dead (as in the case of MJ), two who have sexual assault allegations, two preachers who constantly marched on Trump Tower (Chi & NY), a show host most Black ppl aren't fond of, a TV star whose show he was on, a heavyweight champ...

Yeah, he gets Black ppl 🙄
President #trump is definitely not #racist look he has black “friends” some are just as #perverted as he is 🙄

International journalists have utterly failed to arrive at ‘the authentic Africa’ and to tell the ‘real African story’. They chase a mist that doesn't exist. For there is no ‘African’ story, just diverse stories of Africa told by Africans. Here are some of them.

I have always thought that Trump Derangement Syndrome is when someone actually believes the constant lies this administration spews.

If you use the term when discussing others, you are the one who actually has it.

I’m torn. I agree with this but I also know, with a lot of frustration, the limits of reporting. I’ve written about and published stories about Alabama’s prison crisis for 20 years, and it feels next to impossible to get people to care about the horrific violence happening in their names.
Really don’t need everyone to publicly self-flagellate but Bret is right that the only hope we have is for media to realize that ONGOING coverage of things is the only way to penetrate into the realm of low/no info voters

Alabama’s assault on gender-affirming care was transparent bullshit from the word go, and I think my colleagues (at the Montgomery Advertiser and then the Alabama Reflector) did everything we could to call that out and center transgender voices. But the assault continued.

Lower crime rates are worthy of celebration. But while Trump tries to take credit, it’s worth noting that the trend traces directly to democrats’ investment in local governments. Investing in people works better than demeaning them.

Go beyond the 24th, this is the direct result of the gutting of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. This STARTED in 2013, but no one cared because the people most affected were Black voters in the south. We told ppl they will do this to everyone. They're doing it to everyone now!
It’s against the 24th amendment.
“The 24th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, ratified in 1964, abolished poll taxes (or any other tax) as a requirement for voting in federal elections, preventing states and the federal government from denying the right to vote based on failure to pay a tax.”

Black Women, we don’t have the luxury of not voting. Anyone telling you NOT voting is the answer to a an old MiddleEastern conflict 😳 Please realize these are NOT allies, these ppl are unserious and THEY believe WE are simple and stupid.

🚨The SAVE Act has passed the House, 218-213🚨

Time to call your senators
We've got the numbers: Last year we published (in partnership with the @brennancenter.org and @umd-cdce.bsky.social) survey results showing that some 21.3 million Americans could be disenfranchised by the SAVE Act, which the House''ll vote on tomorrow.

Time to send this thing back to its grave.
Millions of Americans Don’t Have Documents Proving Their Citizenship Readily Available
Requiring Americans to prove their citizenship to register to vote would exclude millions of citizens from the political process.

This is child separation 2.0. They never abandoned that policy. They just renamed it, broadened it, rebranded and repackaged it. But this is the 2018 policy, nonetheless, on a "lame duck" steroid.
