Learning new platforms is annoying, but I guarantee you it is worth it because you don't want to depend on any single one of these apps/sites. It's inevitable that they will try and shut down one thing or the other but if we are flexible, we can stay a step ahead. Digital ungovernability, y'all-

robert f. kennedy jr. submits his application to harvard university. his application is, in its entirety, a single page with his name "Robert F. Kennedy Jr."

he is accepted immediately.

I can already hear the wakanda accent from the Children of Blood and Bone movie. I love how they managed to find multiple Yoruba men but somehow we are going to have Amandla Stenberg representing Yoruba women?)
Thuso Mbedu, Amandla Stenberg, Damson Idris and Tosin Cole will star in the film adaptation of ‘CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE’ from Gina Prince-Bythewood.

Just started a PhD in African Art and I’m using it as an opportunity to explore African British culture in more depth. Would love to connect with Black people in the heritage space across the diaspora🥰🙏🏾 #AddToBlacksky

I love my Oriki name so much - Ayinke means born to be pampered and it suits me SO well.

Does anyone else have an Oriki name or a special cultural name that’s important to them?

White supremacy is the worm, doesn’t seem like people are very interested in pulling it out though.
I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever.

I just saw some lovely reviews for Kòkú Àkànbí and The King of Lost Souls and it really made my morning! I’m so proud of my second book I really feel like I grew a lot as a writer during the process of writing it.

Another reason I like the Yoruba Orisa gods is cause so many of them are gay and non-binary, like sooo many.

I don't support everybody Black. At some point we need to reckon with the fact that some Black people *in our community* are feeding the racist machine that oppresses us - directly or indirectly.
