I wrote this, because a guy on my block told me he was thinking of liquidating his life savings ($10k) so that his money didn’t disappear. Showing him a single graph talked him out of it. I hope it’s helpful to someone.

I love to call my Senators' offices three times per week and try to cajole them into doing the most elementary political messaging and strategy. This is what it means to be an engaged citizen: leaving a strenuously polite voicemail for a 74yo on a more regular cadence than I talk to my parents.

When are major media outlets going to cover the extraordinary white supremacist links of Vance, Musk, and many of the DOGE staffers? There is absolutely no modern parallel for what’s happening: a presidential administration taking instruction from white nationalist extremists.
