It's the final day of Halloweenathon. Here's the movie list:

From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
The Evil Dead (1981)
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
The Thing (1982)
Halloween (1978)
Night of the Living Dead (1968)

Two more Halloweenathon movies tonight:
Young Frankenstein (1974)
Eraserhead (1978)
a black and white photo of a man wearing a hooded cloak .
Alt: Igor from Young Frankenstein, played by Marty Feldman, smiling and looking at the camera after saying "Blücher!" Well, one eye looks at the camera and the other looks off to his right.

Heading into the final stretch for Halloweenathon now. This week I'm watching my annual traditions. Tonight it's Shaun of the Dead (2004).

Today's Halloweenathon double feature:
The Shining (1980)
Doctor Sleep (2019)

I watched Weapons (2025) today for Halloweenathon. Very good movie. I also watched Host (2020) which wasn't great in particular as a horror movie, but was fascinating in its execution as it was filmed entirely over Zoom at the beginning of the pandemic.

If it's October that means I'm watching horror movies during a month-long thing I call Halloweenathon. I'm finishing up today's movies now, surprisingly all movies I haven't seen yet.

Bring Her Back (2025)
Split (2017)
Asylum (1972)
Dr. Giggles (1992)

smash the like button. take out all your frustrations out on the like button. decimate every particle of the like button until no trace of the like button is left. once you are satisfied with the fate of the like button, turn your attention towards the subscribe button and continue your rampage.

I created a separate account for my more technical weather posts. Follow me there if you want to go deeper into weather discussions. I'll still post cool weather stuff here though.
Keeping an eye on a severe weather event for Saturday across the lower Midwest and Arklatex areas. Slight risk (2nd highest out of 5) from eastern TX into southern MO and the western TN with a 5% tornado chance in AR and western TN. There will also be a lot of rain from LA up through MI.

Hate to tell you this, but half or more of that smoke settled over the Plains and Midwest today is thanks to fires in the western/southwest United States of America.
