Me saying all of this but when I change my tv channel there will be a Malayalam TV serial with the entire cast drowned in makeup as if they are going to perform Bharatanatyam then and there.
Movies more or less portray things accurately, no matter what the region is except Bollywood

I'm not even going to lie. I have watched enough kdramas to automatically spot a very surgically perfected face to the point that it takes away my attention because it restricts the actors' emotions terribly. The skin smoothening filter and 2 shades lighter foundation on top of that
I will never stop loving kdramas but sometimes the actors have had so much work done and the directors/producers have used so many filters, blurs and enhanced color grading that sometimes actors look too perfect and almost AI like.

It's also because a lot of jdrama are shoujo manga adaptations that are really known for portraying inner struggles very beautifully. Read more shoujosei works people!!!!

Beyond Konkan anywhere you go in Maharashtra it's only sugarcane and sugarcane that you get to see while driving and these areas are so hot too.
