maybe a rewatch will make it better?
watched eko. wonderful filmmaking, with the cinematography and music and acting being good, but there is too much information left out that the mystery ends up being a little unsatisfactory at the end with a lot still up in the air. and the emotional element was not so emotional perhaps.

update: i am halfway through the book (trudging through it even though it's an audiobook) and i do want to get to the end of it, but the process is unpleasant.
trying to read a book and realising religious horror and religious fundamentalism with a christianity focus is not my thing.... i will try to read the whole book, but maybe i will have to drop it
