PSA: You don’t owe anyone an explanation about the health reasons why you are wearing a mask.

Badgering others about the tools they need to survive is stigmatizing and ableist, and should have no place in decent society.

It was reprehensible when people mocked condom usage at the height of the AIDS pandemic.

It is just as depraved to mock those wearing masks to reduce the spread of airborne viruses today.

Whenever someone takes any kind of step to protect public health, they should be applauded, not mocked.

“a belief that anarchism is incapable of acting as a revolutionary force in its own right, and must therefore outsource its agency to liberal institutions…anarchism becomes merely a branding aesthetic rather than a commitment to revolutionary action.”
The Liberal Capture of Anarchism

Between Asheville's slow recovery and the worsening conditions nationally, we're seeing sales far below those of previous years—and we've burned through most of our reserves to bridge the gap. The Q4 turnaround we'd hoped for didn't materialize and we'll be heading into late winter on thin ice. 2/

The judge also ordered that teachers have a right to misgender trans youth even when the parents know of and are supportive of their trans child. Just in case you thought this was actually about parental rights.
24 Dec 2025 @rikiwilchins.bsky.social -- Judge overturns CA school policy on outing trans kids, rules parents have right to know & teachers a right to tell them but no mention of child's rights. Case likely bound for Supremes. Weirdly CA law allows abortion w/o parental notification.
Federal judge rules California teachers are allowed to ‘out’ transgender students to parents
The ruling applies to all public schools in California and is a victory for two teachers who claimed that district policies violated their constitutional free speech and religious rights.
