Christmas can be a difficult time for people with chronic illness. Thinking of everyone with severe #MECFS and #LongCovid, particularly those who are living alone or isolated in darkened rooms.

Merry Christmas to everyone spending today alone.

Who’s sick in bed and unable to participate in festivities.

Who’s in the hospital wishing they could be at home.

Who’s caring for someone who’s sick and having a difficult time.

The holidays hit different for us and that’s ok.

When a disabled person expresses concerns over assisted dying legislation, please listen to them.

Don’t speak over them.

Don’t assume they want to deny you the right to die.

We’re fighting for our right to live.

We’re fighting fascism & eugenics.

Assisted Dying policies will always target us.

From attacking disabled ppl at universities to at the airport, the Wallstreet Journal is bent on eliminating the accommodations we rely on by saying most who request r swindlers & cheaters. This will result in ppl having to "prove" their disability, creating even more barriers. This has got to end.

Under the proposed rule issued by the Trump Administration today, any Medicare- or Medicaid-participating hospital would be barred from providing gender-affirming care to *any child*, even if the care is not paid for by Medicare or Medicaid.

I spoke with Mary O’Hara about being hit by a car outside a hospital - and deciding not to be admitted because the health/$ risks felt too high.

No one should have to make that choice. A functional health care system doesn’t force people - especially disabled people - to gamble to access care.
