Literally, my mental health improved in a fairly noticeable way once I made Bluesky my social media home base in the fandom. I cannot tell you how much easier that block button has made it to give myself space to consider my next action when in the midst of a dispute.

It's kinda heartbreaking to see so many artists being like "can I post about OCs and not just fanart?", "can I talk about other stuff?", "can I post often?" because the other hellsite literally punished you for doing...normal things you do as an artist - as a person, even.

More bsky advice: Use opt-in labelers. These apply little labels to your account so others can see important stuff at a glance. Even if you don't want to apply the labels to yourself, subscribing to the labeler means you can see what others have on their account, like so for mine: (Links in thread)

First: Add a bunch of feeds. Feeds are good.
Settings->Languages. The third option should be set to nothing, otherwise it blocks all languages you haven't selected from Feeds.
Settings->Content and Media->Following Feed Prefs: Turn on the Experimental
