Just so its clear: data centres are not "critical infrastructure".

They are Mystery Factories that can perform inscrutable computation for any digital output, from crypto scams to child abuse material to hospital databases. The broad label just becomes a wide door for harm to run through.

Puerto Rico residents lost about 27 hours of power each year from 2021 to 2024—all without accounting for electricity failures from hurricanes or other major disasters.

In comparison, residents in the mainland US experience about two hours of power loss each year.
Here’s the thing about Bad Bunny’s light poles
The artist scaled an electric pole while performing “El Apagón,” which literally translates to "the blackout."

For those familiar w/ "ARkStorm/ARk2.0" flood scenarios for California, a comparable event has been unfolding on the Iberian Peninsula. These ridiculous rainfall accumulations, caused by a long series of extremely moist atmospheric rivers, have brought widespread severe flooding to Spain & Portugal.
Grazalema, Spain, received over 2,000 mm (78 inches) of rain in just the last 20 days.

Over a year’s worth of rain — and it’s only early February. This is hydrologically absurd.

If I'm interpreting this figure correctly, it means no global temperature day in either 2024 or 2025 was cooler than the 1991-2020 mean. It's almost like something has changed.
