I know we say this but it’s honestly never going to stop surprising me how stupid these guys are. Like they aren’t just guys with a notebook writing this down they have the entire government that can check on this.
Trump is imposing a 10% tariff on the Heard and McDonald Islands.

The Heard and McDonald Islands are uninhabited.

The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents 800,000+ federal and D.C. workers (i.e. people directly impacted by a government shutdown), is urging senators to vote no on the House GOP's CR.

In other words, AFGE is saying a government shutdown is less bad than this GOP bill.

The institutional Democratic Party is guided by an almost pathological level of conflict avoidance in almost every direction. “What can we do to make the least number of people mad?” is just a bankrupt way to operate.

Like huh it’s almost as if this information is inconsistent with the government’s representations in court that Amy Gleason, not Musk, is in charge of DOGE, and that agency heads, not DOGE, are responsible for the cuts

This is not only bad news for the security of the United States and our European allies, but also dangerous for any target of the cybercriminal gangs the Russian government offers safe harbor to (not to mention those that are state-aligned, if not state-run)

One thing this little bleat from Chad “Damp Little Britches” Mizelle demonstrates is the duality of Trumpism: it’s about simultaneously being (1) a tough truth-telling masculine elbow-thrower and (2) as fragile as a porcelain goose. Bullies who can dish, but weep at the slightest pushback. Losers.
What a petty little bitch. It must be a requirement for the Trump DoJ.
The Trump DOJ is big mad about their finest legal minds being humiliated in court

This is our city. We’re going to continue following & enforcing the laws to keep all Bostonians safe. And it goes without saying that our police commissioner has my complete confidence & support.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story.

Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver.

This is what "merit" means to them.
