So far, China hasn’t placed a single order of U.S. soybeans for the upcoming market year. And the absence has sent farmers across the Upper Midwest, including Minnesota, scrambling for what to do with the crops. 💯 Trump’s doing. www.mprnews.org/story/2025/0...
Without China trade, what’s next for Upper Midwest soybean farmers?
It’s been raining for hours in Ransom County, North Dakota. The weather reminds Mike Langseth why he has grown a bumper crop of soybeans.

Incredible moving speech by 20 year old Violet Affleck at the UN today.

Violet listed the harms of infection, pleaded for people to do more to protect children from COVID infections and advocated for masks and for clean filtered indoor air for everyone.
“We are told by leaders that we are the future. But when it comes to the ongoing pandemic, our present is being stolen right in front of our eyes.”

Incredible speech by Violet Affleck who warned about the ongoing dangers of COVID & Long Covid, & advocated for masks and clean air at the UN today!

Another question I get a lot:

Sure, vaccination can create herd immunity. But since measles is so contagious, and recovery gives lifelong immunity, why can't we achieve herd immunity through mass infection & recovery?

When you’re a kid cake just appears on your birthday, only for you to reach adulthood and realise often one must organise their own cake when hosting a party. Pitching a new society rule: best friend of bday person organises the cake. I’ll run for government on this platform I think.

Those of us who warned—before the election—that a Trump regime would eventually come for everyone were called “cynics”, “alarmists”, “idiots”, or worse.

Fast forward to not even 6 months in to his second term and he is now calling for expelling American citizens as he opens concentration camps.
Trump calls for deporting US citizens: "We also have a lot of bad people that have been here for a long time ... many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here too, if you want to know the truth. So maybe that'll be the next job."

Medicaid isn’t a handout.
It’s the nurse at your grandma’s bedside.
The doctor delivering a baby in a rural clinic.
The meds keeping a disabled neighbor breathing.

Half of U.S. kids rely on it.

Call it what it is:
Compassion made policy.
Cutting it is cruelty, plain and simple.
