it may a proto bollard, rumoured to exist before the days of bollards.
This is at the end of the private drive passing between the Mill and Main buildings. They must have been going pretty fast to hop it up onto the boulder.

The Ontario ndp is rocking 3rd place behind a leaderless liberal party.

Parties serious about winning would push to replace a proven ineffective leader.

oops they did the review already.

Reagan and Thatcher tried to stop the anti-apartheid push in the day too.
Still can't trust americans on the south african file.
U.S. President Donald Trump says that his government will boycott the Group of 20 summit this month in South Africa over his claims that a white minority group there is being violently persecuted. Those claims have been widely rejected.

cool story here, thanks to @jeremyhopkin.bsky.social

There is a special place at the necropolis cemetery where many airman training at leaside in ww1 are buried. It's down the hill beside the old creek (near rosedale valley rd.).

Poignant spot at this time of year.
On November 8, 1917, a training plane that had been missing from the R.F.C. Camp Leaside aerodrome for almost a week was located in Detroit, Michigan, USA.

there's a manhole hazard on wellesley in front of 521 in the bike lane as well. Been there for years, i cannot be the only person to report it.
Someone has already been hurt guaranteed.
Hey @thestar.com anyone researching legal payouts from the city for negligent bike lane maintenance.

Harbord cyclists beware: in the new lanes some sewer grates have been put in the death position by contractors. This @ Manning just ate my tire but luckily was coming to a stop. Jarring still. At speed I’d be over the handlebars. There were others along way.

7up though refreshing, cannot and should not be used in the all canadian favourite 'rye and ginger'.

...many Canadian high schoolers learned this the hard way in the day.

good one here.
“For decades, our laws and road infrastructure have been designed primarily for cars.

“Adopting the Idaho stop […] would recognize [cyclists’] realities and legitimize cycling as a mode of transport, with traffic regulations adapted to its risks and benefits.”

Cyclists may be right to run stop signs and red lights. Here’s why
Should cyclists be allowed to treat stop signs as yield signs? This rule from Idaho is divisive, but the scientific data is surprising.

It's MLS night in the NHL.
No television hockey for most fans or potential fans.
Worked well in soccer. TFC doesn't exist in the toronto pop culture after 2 years of appletv.
