I went to lookup some local toronto news. I mistakenly went to the @ctv owned @cp24new.bsky.social . Cp24 was once a trusted source for toronto news. They didn't find anything to report as news in a city of 3million people today. Not one story.

this was news to me, and helpful
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

NEW: The #CanMNT face Venezuela tomorrow in their final match without knowing 2026 World Cup group opponents.

Alfie Jones to debut, and hopefully the last match without Alphonso Davies, who Marsch spoke of reintegrating today.

The Ontario ndp is rocking 3rd place behind a leaderless liberal party.

Parties serious about winning would push to replace a proven ineffective leader.

cool story here, thanks to @jeremyhopkin.bsky.social

There is a special place at the necropolis cemetery where many airman training at leaside in ww1 are buried. It's down the hill beside the old creek (near rosedale valley rd.).

Poignant spot at this time of year.
On November 8, 1917, a training plane that had been missing from the R.F.C. Camp Leaside aerodrome for almost a week was located in Detroit, Michigan, USA.

Harbord cyclists beware: in the new lanes some sewer grates have been put in the death position by contractors. This @ Manning just ate my tire but luckily was coming to a stop. Jarring still. At speed I’d be over the handlebars. There were others along way.

Should cyclists be allowed to treat stop signs as yield signs? This rule from Idaho is divisive, but the scientific data is surprising.
